Following the February debut of Starbucks Oleato beverages in Italy, customers in select cities across the United States will soon be able to purchase the Oleato beverages at their neighborhood stores.
The Oleato beverages combine Starbucks arabica coffee with premium Partanna extra virgin olive oil to create an entirely new experience for coffee fans.
Beginning March 23, the Starbucks Reserve Roasteries in Chicago, Seattle and New York, as well as the new Starbucks Reserve Empire State Building store, and the Starbucks Reserve locations in SoDo Seattle and Greenwich Lane in NYC will launch Starbucks Oleato beverages. The original Starbucks store in Seattle’s Pike Place Market will also offer the beverages on March 23. Then on March 27, select Starbucks stores in Seattle and Los Angeles will start serving the beverages.
Starbucks will continue to introduce the beverages in select locations worldwide later this year, including Japan, the Middle East and the United Kingdom.
“I was absolutely stunned at the unique flavor and texture created when the Partanna extra virgin olive oil was infused into Starbucks coffee,” Starbucks’ Howard Schultz said in a press release. “In both hot and cold coffee beverages, what it produced was an unexpected, velvety, buttery flavor that enhanced the coffee and lingers beautifully on the palate.”
“In over 40 years, I can’t remember a moment in time where I’ve been more excited, more enthused – that demonstrates the pride, the quality, the passion, the heritage and the craft of what Starbucks can do,” Schultz said.
